Right in front of the city of Vancouver there is a large island that bears the name of the city itself, the main city is Victoria which is also the capital of the province of British Columbia. Taken the Ferry from Vancouver to the city of Nanaimo and then we reached Victoria. We stayed a couple of nights in a beautiful hotel, the Victoria Victoria Regent Waterfront Hotel & Suites .

The city is very beautiful and interesting, with large gardens and paths to walk along the sea, we also went for a cruise in the waters in front to find and see killer whales.

We then drove up to Ucluelet near the Pacific Rim park and theTofino beautiful naturalistic area, we slept in a very nice guesthouse, the Ocean Mist Guesthouse.. Also in this area there are numerous trails and paths where is possible to trek, one of the most important and interesting is the Wild Pacific Trail loop

we then moved to Quadra Island to relax and take pictures of the bald eagles and small raccoons eating red fruits. During the transfer we stopped at Mc Millan Park, famous for the stretch of forest called Cathedral Grov where you can see centuries-old Douglas fir essences. On the island of Quadra, we slept in a not very exciting hotel, the Wiskey Point Resort.

From Quadra Island we then moved to Port Hardy with a stop at Telegraph Cove. In Port Hardy we stayed at the First Choice B&B and prepared for the Inner passage cruise, which would take us north to the next stops before to reach the Canadian Rockies. The wake up call at 04:30 with the packed breakfast prepared with care and attention by the owners of the B&B was unforgettable.
