Trip organized in the summer of 2008 very articulate and not for everyone, thanks to our personal travel agent “Costantino” of Meridiano viaggi.
The first part was held in the National parks of Yellowstone, and Mount Rushmore, a short trip with a Van to Vancouver, where we enjoyed the experience of the entertainment area of the Capilano suspended bridge.
The second part covered the cold (?) North where we have traveled thousands of miles between Alaska and the Yukon, we were able to visit the wonderful Denali park near Fairbanks, then Dawson City and White Horse, famous places for the gold rush and books by Jack London, a memorable “Top of the World” Hwy for long stretches not paved
Stop in the city of Valdez that was very exciting, especially for the day dedicated to cruising the sounds of the surroundings where we could see glaciers, sea lions, whales, sea otters, bald eagles, flora and fauna experience. The stop in Anchorage has allowed us to deepen the knowledge of the natives and their traditions.
The third part, projected us in the warm Caribbean with the arrival in Miami and the immediate departure for the last (and most famous of the Keys Islands) Key West, famous for being one of the favorite residences of Ernest Hemingway, and currently a Resort sought after by all Americans for his carefree life (dancing and drinking all night) and the beautiful weather, very picturesque the salute to the sun every eve at sunset with a cocktail in hand and a long round of applause to vanishing of the sun. interesting also the typical tour of the Everglades on the floating boat to look for crocodiles. The fourth part (not planned) was given to us from Atlanta Airport who has canceled all departures for a sudden flood for most of the evening and night and gave us a morning stroll in Atlanta with a quick visit to the headquarters of Coca Cola …
