Xi’an (西安; Sian is in Italian), is the capital of Shaanxi Province. Known as one of the most important cities in Chinese history, Xi’an is in the list of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China because it was the capital of no less than 13 dynasties, including the Zhou, the Qin, the Han and the Tang. Xi’an is the eastern end of the Silk Road. The city has more than 3,100 years of history. It was called Chang’an (长安, literally “Perpetual Peace”), in ancient times, or even before Hao. Strong indescribable feeling you get going in front of the beautiful figures of Terracotta Army built by Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi.
