A respectable journey both for the destination and for the inexperienced travelers that we were.
A flight with a stop in Holland, arrival in Oslo with a short stop to visit the Vigeland Sculpture Park then drive to the coast to Mo i Rana famous for salmon fishing and farming, the way to Trondheim with the inevitable stop at the Arctic Circle information center “Polar Sirkelen Zentrum”.
A ferry to the Lofoten Islands where we spent four days staying in a Rorbu (houses on stilts used by fishermen during the winter and the cod fishing and preparation season, rented to tourists during the summer)
tour of the islands by car, bicycle and feet between coves surrounded by blacks peaks of the mountains of the islands. then back on the norwegian peninsula a quick detour to Bodo before returning to Oslo.
A refreshment stop in Lillehammer before diving back in Oslo for a more detailed visit of this wonderful city.
