Venice, one of the most beautiful and visited italian cities, with its history, its architecture, its sumptuous palaces, its beautiful churches, canals, rii and squares, alleys and bridges, water buses and gondolas. A quick transfer from Rome to Venice with a red arrow (with full compliance with anti-Covid-19 regulations). It is impressive to be in an empty and closed Venice, an empty Piazza San Marco, the bars of the procuratie that open only in the afternoon on weekends, the empty gondolas dancing side by side moored to the banks
We visited far and wide the city, discovering glimpses and beauties, here the photos
We went to Murano, Burano and Torcello islands and to the Lido
We inevitably wandered through its canals, both day and night
We visited some of its most beautiful churches such as the Frari and the Salute (San Marco Basilica was closed for restoration) and the Monastery of Santa Maria Assunta on the island of Torcello
