The beautiful Mounts Olgas called by the aborigines Kata Tijuta (many-headed) is a complex of mountains that is sacred to the Anangu, the local population, who live on this land by 22,000 years. It is believed that the 36 domes of red sandstone, forming the complex of Kata Tjuta and forty miles away from Uluru, have been formed over 500 million years ago … A complex of rocks of gigantic proportions (the highest peak exceeds the height of Uluru over 200 meters!) and, as for the “cousin” from the point of view of tourism, you can make nice walks (three hours leading to the Valley of the Winds or the shorter path to Walpa Gorge). Great is the beauty and strangeness of the landscapes that develop around those whom walk among the paths in the woods or in the narrow gorges.
