After a quiet and restful night, we leave for Christchurch with an obligatory stop at the Moeraki Boulders, a group of perfectly spherical geoids that the waves of the sea and the earthquakes have washed away. According to the Maori legend, relating to the creation of Aotearoa, in which a God who was sailing on an Arai-te-uru (large canoe) was shipwrecked and would have lost from his bag some pumpkins and sweet potatoes (the Boulders).

Then we head to Christchurch a little curious to see it after the great earthquake that hit it in February 2011.
