Hearty breakfast and then off to Dunedin and the beautiful Otago Peninsula. A few kilometers in the beautiful valleys inhabited by thousands of sheep and cows, then we reach the junction for the Otago peninsula and we begin these 60 beautiful kilometers, between breathtaking views, beautiful beaches inhabited by seals and sea lions, sheer cliffs where the royal albatrosses nest. We proceed towards the Motel where we get the room and immediately after go out for a walk through the nineteenth-century streets of Dunedin. At 15:00 departure for Penguin Place where a tour awaits us to visit a colony of yellow-eyed penguins, a native species that lives only on the east coasts of the South Island and is a protected species because it has lost its habitat natural.
we could see, from behind the hiding places, the return of the penguins from fishing and the welcome dance. a truly exciting show.
