Wake up and breakfast with coffee, milk and weetabix. We put the suitcases back in the car and drive directly towards the entrance of the National Park of Mount Edgemont (Taranaki in the Maori language) a volcano that erupted for the last time in 1755.
It’s just over 200 meters high and has the prerogative of being almost snow-covered all year round and being surrounded, at the base, by a perfectly circular rainforest. Nice walk along one of its many paths. Then stop at the Waverly beach where we could see and shoot rock formations and beautiful natural caves. We arrived in Palmerston North and after a short walk to the city center we went to sleep.
