We leave Taipa and its beach and heading towards the last leg of our journey the city of Auckland, we decided to go to see the Waipoua forest in which there are some Kauri trees very impressive and very old. The most famous is the Tane Mahuta (God of the Forest) that is really impressive and it is between 2000 and 3000 years old! The forest of Kauri trees is very large (almost 100 square kilometers) and full of trees and ferns (sometimes became almost dark) and left the Waipoua forest we continue our journey after greeting the Tasman Sea at Baylys Bay. We head to Auckland where we arrive in the evening. The resort Takapuna Oaks is very nice and comfortable.
