The alarm rings, we are already up, at 07:15 closes the check-in of the ferry to Picton . We close our suitcases, have breakfast and flee to the harbour. We line up and at 08:05 the ferry leaves its moorings and heads towards the Cook Strait. We take the fjord that leads to Picton and at 11:40 we are off the ferry and we heading to Collingwood. Long and winding road that follows the inlets of the coast. After about 5 hours we find our Motel run by a very nice family with two blonde and irrepressible children who run barefoot despite only 7 degrees. Dinner based on spaghetti with mussels (New Zealand those with green shells) lulled by the wind and the first New Zealand downpour.
Now to bed. see you tomorrow (by the way, cellular networks = 0)
