From Adrian (TX) we move obviously west and arrive in Albuquerque (NM) a large town in the state of New Mexico, a few kilometers from another beautiful and famous city, Santa Fè. We stopped there for three nights to be able to walk around it calmly and visit the surroundings, Santa Fè with its San Francesco d’Assisi cathedral and its ceramic shops, the Rio Grande that flows quietly and mightily or visit the petroglyph National Park, and a visit to the famous El Rancho motel.

We then continue to the next stop in Gallup where by chance and for Elisa’s obstinacy, we took part in a national Bull Riding event that amused us a lot for the spectacle and the passion of the spectators.

Then we enter Arizona and before heading to Flagstaff we stop to visit the Petrified Forest National Park an area that contains hundreds of tree trunks petrified by the compression and heat of geological events over millions of years, we also pass to take a quick look at the Painted desert with its multicolored dunes.

Then we reach Seligman (the city that inspired the authors of the film “Cars”) with its motel with the rooms in the shape of an Indian TeePee that has become the Cone Motel of the film. A town fully dedicated to the cult of Route 66 with constant references with motels, hotels, gas stations, bars and restaurants, walls full of colorful murals. We then pass by Kingsman before taking the first of our extra routes, we go to Las Vegas.
