The city of Guilin, 桂林, Kuei-lin is one of the most picturesque Chinese Town. Its name means “forest of Alexandrian Senna” for the large number of these plants in the city. For the Chinese, “the mountains and rivers in Guilin are the best under heaven.” Located in the North East of Guangxi on the west bank of the Lijiang River on which we have done an unforgettable cruise, accompanied by a magnificent scenery, local fishermen on their bamboo boats and theirs cormorants.
