Meiji Shrine

A surprising place is the shrine of Meiji Jingu, in fact it is a huge park that hosts a forest of beautiful trees and perfectly harmonious, is used both as a place of worship and as a space to stroll and relax. For Shintoism relationship with nature and its forces is the foundational and the shrines are almost always surrounded by pleasant scenery.
The Meiji shrine dedicated to the Emperor Meiji and his wife finished its reconstruction in 1958 may be reached after a walk in the green for some distance before to find the buildings. The wooden buildings of the shrine itself arise in places of worship frequented by the Emperor and Empress Meiji.
We were lucky and we could see more than an elegant Shinto wedding .
