Leaving Dyrholaey we visited the lighthouse promontory with a view of a beautiful sea arch, then we moved to Reynisfjara beach, famous for its black sand and its basalt columns overlooking the sea, where the spiky rocks of Reynisdrangar stand out. Returning on the path of our tour by route-1 in the direction of Vik we went to the large frozen area of the Vatnayokull volcano, heading to our second stop the town of Hali. We have dedicated an extended stop to the Skaftafell park which contains numerous paths and guided tours on the nearby glacier but above all, a nice walk up to the granite Svartifoss waterfall.

Then we went to visit the Bay of Jokulsarlon, famous for being the arrival basin of different glacier tongues that continuously release ice blocks that, thanks to the come and go of the tide, are arranged along the beaches that flank the bay itself.
