The European West Coast we were missing. So in May 2008 during a short holiday we went there. Destination the beautiful city of Lisbon.
We, the Grandmother and the brother in-law, we started to discover the world and Portuguese cuisine, with the car we went to visit Cabos de Roca is the westernmost tip of Europe with its beautiful lighthouse, we went to visit Evora with it’s beautiful Roman temple placed in the middle of the country, then we were advised to visit nearby megalithic area where we found a beautiful Dolmen and a Menhir.
One day we dedicated to the beautiful town of Sintra where we could visit the famous Moorish Castle and colorful palace of Pena.
Breathtaking views of the sea, small colored trams that run along the tremendous climb of the city, the beautiful azulejos, the medieval castle, the Roman ruins, the Cathedral and its cloister … Well worth a visit with care and passion.
