Cloudy and threatening rainy day, we get dressed and go out on foot to visit the city park, Queens Park, a huge green area (1 squared Km.) with various and interesting initiatives inside, a golf course (18 holes), various roses , a garden dedicated to the endemic species of New Zealand, a micro zoo with deer, roosters, hens, peacocks, pigs, rabbits, sheep and goats, two wallabies, three alpacas and an emu. Two bars, a white pyramid-shaped conference center, fitness trails, lakes and ponds full of ducks. We wander around quietly and a little cold for almost three hours before deciding to return to the hotel passing through the city center where we take a look at the shop windows and buy some souvenirs. After eating we decide to go and see the ocean, at first believing it to be an interesting point, we went to visit a huge aluminum foundry, then we went to see a beautiful and very long beach beaten by the wind and ocean waves where we did a beautiful regenerating walk. On the way back we went shopping for tomorrow. We have to go to sleep early that tomorrow morning we leave for Dunedin where we have already booked a visit to a center for the recovery of yellow eyed penguins (NZ native) and see the beautiful Otago peninsula
